Insufficient Salary

Today everyone talks of salary or lack of it.

The economy seems to always go from bad to worse. In every crisis we left with less and less. Even when the crisis is over things will never return to what they were.

So if something is repeated a lot these days is the lack of sufficient income to live. Companies need to lower wages for not going into bankruptcy and cost of living increases.

I could go on for hours, but not the point of this article: I think you know enough about it.

I always hear people saying they do not pay them the value of their work and that the company may well pay more for the great benefits they get. Many say this with great bitterness as wrinkle break a pencil or paper.

The sweet irony is that these same people who are saying that companies do not give them their fair value are most other workers fight to lower his salary.

So, you see everybody begrudge the plumber, gardener, florist, craft to lower their prices, charging less or more for what they already had.

It is probably part of being human to want to do more with less and trying to get the best of each transaction.

And the reason is that the work is basically a cost. Of course you think your work is indispensable and that the world would stop if you stop it.

To think that what you do is so important is I think the fact that you do. What the gardener or bricklayer, now, that anybody can do.

However, this attitude is precisely that which can not tolerate in business. New Little contradiction? Maybe, but I have to bear in all meetings.

Why not accept that the company does what you do? Basically you get a dose of your own medicine.

If you are someone who get what you really believe that something is worth, this article is unfair to you. However, I think few people will be able to say this. For most people, the work of others is a cost, though the self is, say, indispensable.

Something to think about when you go to ask your next raise.
